Gorgeous, simple shotgun accented by its 4 sets of blue hurricane shutters on its four sets of French doors. The two dormers make an stylish statement for this shotgun. Either owner can sit on the front stoop and watch the world go by. The blue of the hurricane shutters stands out against the gray wall hues and the white French doors.

New Canal Lighthouse was first established in 1838 at the north end of the New Basin Canal, which ran from Pontchartrain to the Uptown area of New Orleans, known today as the NOLA Central Business District (CBD). The canal was filled in about 1950, but the lighthouse remained on a jetty extending into the lake. The one-half-mile long stretch of the canal was left and is still used as a small boat and yachting harbor.
