Court of the Two Sisters print. New Orleans, LA.

This iconic New Orleans restaurant on Royal St. in the French Quarter is located where Sieur Etienne de Perier, the second French royal governor of colonial Louisiana, had his home. The present structure at 613-615 Royal was constructed in 1832 and was built for Jean Baptiste Zenon Cavelier, president of the Bank of New Orleans. In 1886, Emile Angaud bought the property. Bertha Angaud & sister Emma Camors set up “The Shop of the Two Sisters,” a clothing and jewelry shop, which existed until 1904 when Bertha's husband died. Since the late 1920s, the property was a bar and restaurant  In 1963 Joe Fein, Jr. bought the property and started The Court of the Two Sisters Restaurant, which is what it is today. The restaurant is famous as the Home of the Jazz Brunch, its huge outside dining courtyard, and plenty of French Quarter atmosphere!Printed on Premium Luster Photo Paper Poster
