Pirate's Alley (Prints)

Pirate's Alley is supposed to be one of the most haunted areas of New Orleans. Originally, Pirate’s Alley created a passage between Chartres and Royal Streets alongside St. Louis Cathedral. The area behind the Cathedral was a burial ground. Later, the bones were exhumed and re-interred in the St. Louis cemetery on Basin Street. To add more of the spooky vibe, Pirate's alley was the unofficial designated New Orleans location for the illegal practice of dueling for 50 years. If you visit Jackson Square, you've got to visit Pirate's Alley!
