Anne Rice Orphanage (Prints)
The amazing Anne Rice Orphanage is a former Anne Rice home. This 1860s New Orleans Italianate residence was a historic building called St. Elizabeth's. St Elizabeth's was an orphanage, chapel, and Catholic school for girls.
When Rice bought the place in 1993, she dedicated resources toward restoring it and turning it into the largest home in the city. The house was famous not only because of Anne Rice's ownership but also because of the public tours and fundraisers she sponsored. Rice sold St. Elizabeth's in 2003--the current owners broke up the space into condominiums.
